About the role
- Explain G+H drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to fabricators and support them in interpreting the requirements
- Advise fabricators on production scheduling
- Respond to technical questions from fabricators regarding drawings or design
- Review fabricator qualifications, including WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, shop qualifications, and qualification of NDT personnel
- Review material certificates
- Carry out in-progress inspections, including weld seam, dimensional and painting/coating checks
- Perform final inspection and acceptance of fabricated goods at the contractor's workshop
- Review final quality documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with company EHS policies and procedures
- Identify and propose improvements to processes, tools, system solutions, and technologies; implement agreed improvements in coordination with the leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship in mechanical engineering from a reputable institution
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in metal fabrication shops
- Knowledge of and experience applying international codes and standards for steel fabrication
- Analytical and innovative approach to problem solving
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic German language skills
