About the role

  • Engineering of control systems (Siemens WinCC OA)
  • Planning and performing software maintenance for Windows and Linux computer systems
  • Designing and implementing interfaces to third-party systems
  • Contributing to and developing concepts for system enhancement
  • Conducting user training
  • Troubleshooting and fault resolution for supported systems
  • Implementing plant expansions including acceptance tests together with planners and the customer (occasionally at night)
  • Preparing documentation

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, information technology, automation engineering, or completed technical vocational training with relevant further qualification (e.g., technician)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience with PLC, SCADA, or control systems — ideally with Siemens WinCC OA
  • Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as C++, Python, Java for designing and implementing interfaces to third-party systems
  • Knowledge of networking technologies such as firewalls, servers, clients, domain controllers, and operating systems such as Windows and Linux
  • Database knowledge such as MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle is desirable
  • Team player with strong communication and moderation skills (coordination between the customer and, for example, planners and third-party suppliers)
  • Solution-oriented working style

  • Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call duty and night commissioning
