About the role
- Independently contribute to the design, conception and planning of complex automation systems and applications, primarily for clients in power generation and waste management
- Perform cost estimation for systems and services and support the preparation of proposals/quotations
- Hardware and software engineering: configuration, programming and implementation of control, visualization and process control systems (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal / PCS7 / S7; ABB 800xA / AC500)
- Test, commission and optimize implemented systems on site at the client
- Create and maintain project, design and test documentation and qualify applications and systems
- Serve as technical point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal departments during project execution and for ongoing support
Requirements
- Completed technical training and/or degree, preferably in automation, systems engineering or a related discipline
- Several years of professional experience in planning, programming and commissioning PLC (SPS) controllers, SCADA and process control systems
- Practical experience with Siemens and/or ABB control systems
- Experience in hardware and software engineering as well as process visualization
- Basic IT knowledge in servers, networks and industrial communication
- Strong customer orientation and experience in technical project support
- Good written and spoken German; French skills are a strong advantage
