About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform and review lease accounting activities
- Ensure lease accounting is compliant with US GAAP (ASC 842)
- Analyze lease-related balances and ensure accurate reflection in financial statements
- Drive month‑end close activities
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of lease related components of the financial statements
- Assist with the final review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables
- Prepare and provide audit support documentation
- Act as a primary accounting contact for internal and external audits
- Identify control gaps or process inefficiencies and drive remediation
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades and process improvement initiatives
- Support testing efforts for accounting-related projects
- Validate outputs and ensure accounting accuracy following system or process changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience materially contributing to month‑end close, internal control compliance, and audit support
- Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and communicate complex accounting topics to stakeholders
- Experience in consumer, retail, apparel, footwear, or multi‑brand environments
- Familiarity with data analytics tools or emerging technologies
- SAP experience
- BPC experience
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail with focus on accuracy
- Ability to review and challenge financial data
- Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
