About the role
- Development and closing of new business opportunities for Phase III and commercial projects in the assigned territory (U.S. & Europe)
- Take ownership of projects and be accountable for their success (managed by a project manager)
- Drive growth in contract manufacturing sales for services from Ravensburg, Germany
- Support customers through to the handover to the Account Management team after product launch
- Identify and qualify prospective companies in the territory (U.S. & Europe)
- Collaborate closely with the Early Stage team on transfers and molecule strategies early in the process
- Work with the Early Stage team to define territory strategy for events and other marketing activities
- Prepare proposals
- Facilitate and negotiate CDAs, development and supply agreements
- Promote Vetter via social media, industry associations and trade shows
- Conduct customer visits in Germany
- Reach out to biotech/pharma companies and follow up on leads
- Maintain the lead database
- Develop new business opportunities and demonstrate customer engagement
- Build relationships with all relevant biotech stakeholders in your territory (consultants, cluster organizations, investors, KOLs)
- Seek new networking channels
- Attend/speak at trade fairs and industry events
- Respond to 80% of customer inquiries within Late Stage NBD without SMEs
- Manage active customer account governance without VP escalation
- Assign additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Willingness to work at our U.S. site for three years after one year at the Ravensburg location
- Degree in a technical or scientific subject (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in applied sciences or engineering; 2+ years of sales experience preferred
- MBA preferred
- Experience in aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging desirable
- Knowledge of CDMO requirements
- English language skills required, German fluent (for Ravensburg colleagues); German not required for U.S. colleagues
