About the role

  • Development and closing of new business opportunities for Phase III and commercial projects in the assigned territory (U.S. & Europe)
  • Take ownership of projects and be accountable for their success (managed by a project manager)
  • Drive growth in contract manufacturing sales for services from Ravensburg, Germany
  • Support customers through to the handover to the Account Management team after product launch
  • Identify and qualify prospective companies in the territory (U.S. & Europe)
  • Collaborate closely with the Early Stage team on transfers and molecule strategies early in the process
  • Work with the Early Stage team to define territory strategy for events and other marketing activities
  • Prepare proposals
  • Facilitate and negotiate CDAs, development and supply agreements
  • Promote Vetter via social media, industry associations and trade shows
  • Conduct customer visits in Germany
  • Reach out to biotech/pharma companies and follow up on leads
  • Maintain the lead database
  • Develop new business opportunities and demonstrate customer engagement
  • Build relationships with all relevant biotech stakeholders in your territory (consultants, cluster organizations, investors, KOLs)
  • Seek new networking channels
  • Attend/speak at trade fairs and industry events
  • Respond to 80% of customer inquiries within Late Stage NBD without SMEs
  • Manage active customer account governance without VP escalation
  • Assign additional tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Willingness to work at our U.S. site for three years after one year at the Ravensburg location
  • Degree in a technical or scientific subject (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in applied sciences or engineering; 2+ years of sales experience preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience in aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging desirable
  • Knowledge of CDMO requirements
  • English language skills required, German fluent (for Ravensburg colleagues); German not required for U.S. colleagues
