About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned hospitals and Clinical Programs, developing and executing strategic sourcing plans to identify diverse, top-tier candidates.
  • Manage candidates through a mutual assessment process and handle offer negotiation and closing with leadership teams.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Talent Team, hospital leadership, and VQ departments on evolving talent needs.
  • Partner with leadership to identify strategic talent pools and source top-tier candidates.
  • Create and drive scalable talent acquisition strategies using industry best practices, diverse relationships, networks, and cross-functional execution.
  • Build and sustain a creative, relationship-based talent attraction approach across multiple sourcing channels and talent pools.
  • Attend veterinary, retail, hospitality, and other industry conferences to source and attract talent.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors.
  • Drive process and technology improvements to increase talent acquisition efficiency.
  • Develop and sustain KPIs and metrics to measure success across the region.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience is required
  • Remote (U.S.); Eastern or Central Time Zone preferred
  • Proven ability to manage candidates using CRM or ATS platforms
  • Passion for specialty talent acquisition and innovative sourcing, attraction, and candidate assessment approaches
  • High-level communication and organizational skills, including multitasking and strict confidentiality
  • Energetic, motivated, and self-starting, capable of delivering high-performance results remotely
  • Travel up to 25% to support hiring across VEG, including hospital partnerships, recruiting events, conferences, and strategic talent initiatives
  • Experience conducting phone, video, and in-person interviews, candidate screening, and formal assessments
