About the role

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, and product leaders to design, build, and scale reliable data systems that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across a global operation
  • Take ownership of core data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and performance across large and complex datasets
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Design, build, and optimize data models and databases to support analytical and reporting needs
  • Perform data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to uncover trends, patterns, and insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure data quality through governance practices, validation processes, and integrity checks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and product teams
  • Mentor and support junior team members in a collaborative, high-performing environment
  • Support additional data initiatives and projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Redshift, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Java for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting
  • Experience retrieving and processing data from APIs
  • Hands-on experience with: Big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster), GitLab, DBT, Terraform, Liquibase
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, d3.js) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
