Key responsibilities & impact

Plan Design Consultation: Collaborate with Plan Sponsors to create optimal defined contribution plan designs
Plan Document Review: Support sales in conversion contract considerations by performing a plan spec review
Regulatory Interpretation & Compliance Expertise: Independently interpret ERISA and other applicable laws
Plan Document Drafting & Maintenance: Prepare plan documents and ensure consistency with plan design decisions
Independent Judgment & Analysis: Evaluate plan design requests and assess legal and operational risk
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams for seamless implementation and administration
Process & Documentation Improvement: Contribute to process reviews, research, and documentation
Project Management: Design and manage workflows for document projects
Product & Automation Support: Partner with teams to improve document automation and management capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Subject Matter Expertise - Understanding of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Department of Labor (DOL), Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations
At least 5 years of experience in qualified/non-qualified plans including sales support, design consultation, document drafting, and non-discrimination testing
Keen attention to detail, deadlines, and customer service needs along with strong communication skills
Collaborative approach with internal stakeholders and with clients to clearly communicate the process, timing, and plan design considerations of new, amended and restated plans
Strong commitment to proactively managing workload
Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite; Google Workspace; cloud-based client portals and internal network drives
