About the role

  • Designing the next generation of cloud infrastructures
  • Technical leadership of enterprise cloud projects across the entire lifecycle — from analysis and design to implementation and operational support
  • Close collaboration with clients to develop tailored solutions
  • Direct coordination with technology partners to further develop the solution portfolio
  • Shaping the enterprise cloud portfolio by evaluating new technologies
  • Technical support during the sales process as a knowledgeable sparring partner for customers and the sales team

Requirements

  • Higher vocational education in computer science (HF/FH) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of hands-on experience in designing and operating private cloud infrastructures
  • Solid knowledge of system engineering (compute, storage, virtualization, networking)
  • Expertise in hyperconverged infrastructures (HCI) — experience with Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or comparable platforms is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware ESXi, AHV, KVM, or Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of software-defined infrastructure — storage, networking, and compute
  • Experience with backup & data protection (e.g., Rubrik, HYCU, Veeam)
  • Knowledge of automation & Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
  • Interest in modern architectures: container platforms (Kubernetes) and cloud-native approaches
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
