About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients to address inquiries
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities
- Expand existing accounts by identifying new product and market expansion opportunities
- Negotiate and close deals, including contracts and pricing
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to customer acquisition
- Manage and maintain accurate sales records, including forecasts and budgets
- Conduct market research to understand customers’ needs and stay up-to-date on industry trends
- Participate in industry events and conferences to build brand awareness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in cannabis or food and beverage ingredient sales preferred
- Proficiency with sales tools, such as CRM systems, Excel, and digital document platforms
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Willing to travel to meet with clients or attend industry events up to 25% of a given quarter
- Must reside in the United States and be eligible to work in the United States.
