About the role
- Lead and execute client acquisition strategy, from pipeline generation to developing existing client relationships
- Determine client needs, build value, and gain acceptance of Verto's solutions with new clients
- Prospect, identify, and generate new opportunities via cold calling, email, phone, and LinkedIn to build a strong pipeline
- Manage the sales pipeline through all stages: initial outreach, product demo, negotiation, and closing deals
- Take a consultative approach with management while navigating multiple decision-makers
- Consistently exceed monthly sales quota and participate in performance-based compensation
- Work closely with Account Management to upsell and cross-sell the Verto suite of products
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the payments space
- Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Team player mentality with the ability to work independently toward lofty goals
- Excellent organisational skills, including prioritisation, scheduling, and time management
- A coachable, self-motivated, curious, and resilient mindset
- Ability to provide documentation proving legal right to work in the country where this role is based
- Do you hold a degree level qualification? (applicant must answer) — degree level qualification expected
- A "black book" of potential clients would be highly advantageous
- Experience in dealing with clients from Africa and the Middle East
