About the role
- Payment liquidity/treasury management, to meet all daily settlement requirements.
- Ensuring we are able to deliver fast client settlement while meeting our daily customer funds safeguarding and partner credit line obligations.
- Oversee the recording treasury transactions to our internal systems.
- Sourcing, validating and sharing daily data requirements required for treasury funds and credit facilities.
- Reconciliation of treasury funds, ensuring funds are tracked and positions are kept in accordance credit facility terms and internal thresholds.
- Reconciliation and monitoring of daily OTC trading currency and trade positions.
- Management of customer FX trade settlements, ensuring late settled trades are followed up and closing positions where needed.
- Ensuring timely settlement of funds owed to customers for OTC transactions.
- Management of spot FX booking and controls, including booking cover positions and monitoring for any P&L variances or uncovered positions.
- Providing post-trade support for OTC customers and internal stakeholders. Primary internal stakeholders include the Trading Desk and Operations for daily liquidity and trade management and Finance for revenue reporting information and controls.
- Client credit position management, for daily advance settlement credit line requests.
- Providing management information and analysis for any OTC customer credit line requests and monitoring open credit exposure.
- Tracking daily currency exposure and positions, monitoring against any limits and our internal liquidity line usage.
- Implement process and system improvements to enhance or efficiency, deliver customer experience improvements and reduce risk.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a middle office, operational risk, treasury or similar role within a bank or a payments company.
- Knowledge of the fundamental concepts of FX, middle office, and treasury.
- Good understanding of risks associated with FX and payments, and a background in developing risk management controls.
- Experience in cash management and managing liquidity processes.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools like Excel/Gsheets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with internal teams, clients and external banking partners.
- Track record of delivering enhancements such as efficiencies, client experience improvements and reducing risk.
- Prior experience working directly in a Middle Office, Treasury or Operational Risk role.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement operational improvements.
- A highly motivated, proactive, and solution-focused mindset, with a desire to take ownership and improve processes.
