About the role
- Oversee and improve daily payment operations, manage queues, and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all payment-related incidents, lead swift resolution and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Lead execution of critical payment-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Work cross-functionally with product, technology, compliance, and customer success teams to align on strategic objectives and ensure seamless execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise reports on project status and operational performance.
- Optimise and scale payment operations ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security of payment processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a payment operations or similar role within a fast-paced FinTech.
- Strong understanding of cross-border payment systems, multi-currency processes, and FX operations.
- Demonstrable success in managing operational projects and driving process improvements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools like Excel/Gsheets and SQL.
- Experience with incident management principles and best practices in a real-time payments context (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams (preferred).
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient mindset (preferred).
- Ability to provide documentation proving legal right to work in the country where this role is based (required via application form).
