About the role
- Achieve measurable revenue growth by acquiring new customers and upselling solutions to existing clients.
- Drive customer acquisition in Kenya by identifying and targeting key sectors such as trade, logistics, and SMEs.
- Design and execute region-specific sales plans that align with Verto’s goals and market dynamics.
- Implement streamlined processes, ensuring an efficient sales pipeline, accurate forecasting, and consistent deal closure.
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive long-term value.
- Use performance metrics and sales analytics to refine strategies and improve team efficiency.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align messaging and deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Monitor competitor activity and stay informed on industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in payments, fintech, fx, or related industries; with focus on new business acquisition.
- Strong local network and understanding of business practices in within the region.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and scaling successful sales teams in competitive markets.
- Strong knowledge of the Kenyan market, including economic trends and key business sectors, particularly as related to cross border payments.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools for pipeline management.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building lasting customer relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to leverage data for decision-making.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
