Assistant Director, Student Success

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervision of the Student Success Managers (SSM) as well as other staff in larger enrollment semesters.
- Oversee reporting system for all student issues (academic and personal).
- Responsible for using Salesforce and other Verto Tech systems to support student success.
- Design and implement strategies to improve student retention and success, aligning with Verto's mission and values.
- Support the Academic team during Add/Drop through student advising, providing assistance, and/or appropriate referrals.
- Meet with students for escalated academic advising relevant to course enrollments and withdrawals, monitoring students academic performance and attendance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 4-6 years experience in higher education, 6-8 years if no Master’s degree.
- This may include: 2+ years of experience in teaching, tutoring and/or academic advising and 2+ year’s experience with experiential learning and/or education abroad programming
- Fluency in English, excellent communication skills, efficient time-management, teamwork, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Google suite and Microsoft suites, to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
