About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and deliver a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience for US employees
  • Coordinate and administer employee changes including promotions, compensation updates, transfers, leave administration, and exits
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding program improvements to ensure a high-quality employee experience
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity across HR systems including BambooHR and PEO platforms
  • Support payroll-related requests, employee changes, audits, and reporting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, leave programs, and HR policies
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment legislation across the US
  • Stay informed on evolving labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
  • Assist in maintaining, updating, and rolling out company policies, handbooks, SOPs, and internal process documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, HR Operations, or related HR roles
  • Experience supporting the full employee lifecycle within a fast-paced organisation
  • Experience supporting US payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance
  • Familiarity working with a PEO environment (Sequoia One preferred)
  • Familiarity working with an EOR (Deel)
  • Experience managing HRIS systems, preferably BambooHR
  • Familiarity with performance management and employee engagement platforms such as Culture Amp
  • Strong understanding of US federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to provide verbal and written information, with clear instructions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, reporting, and HR systems.
