About the role

  • Vertical Relevance is looking for an AWS App Modernization Consultant, to join our team as a full-time employee in our New York or New Jersey office or work remotely.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end planning, building, and deploying of software systems.
  • Drive programming of well-constructed, testable code.
  • Implement technical solutions as part of a team for customer engagements.
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance on cloud adoption and cloud native application solutions.
  • Review existing customer application architectures and propose iterative migrations to cloud native architecture.
  • Code, test and deploy refinements in customer applications.
  • Build and deploy infrastructure and automate operations for customers.
  • Develop high-quality technical content: automation tools, reference architectures, white papers.
  • Innovate on behalf of customers and translate thoughts into measurable results.
  • Assist with technical briefs and reference architecture implementations.
  • Support internal/external brand development through thought leadership and marketing collaboration.
  • Help customers shape their journey to adopting the cloud and provide guidance on cloud journey.
  • Consult, plan, design, and implement cloud native application solutions.
  • Support solution development by conveying customer needs and feedback to technology roadmaps.
  • Assist with reference architecture implementations and technical briefs.
  • Assist Customers in defining DevOps Framework capabilities, architecture reviews, and MVP for DevOps Framework.
  • Deploy ASP.NET web apps, Amazon EC2 instances, Python/Java on AWS Lambda, ECS blue/green deployments, Windows EC2 deployments.
  • Provision dashboards to monitor deployments and provide knowledge transfer to customer stakeholders.
  • Relevant technical tools include Python, Java, JavaScript, NodeJs, ReactJS, Angular, Vue, Ruby, SQL, SOAP, REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Jenkins, Gitlab, Terraform, Vault, Git, Subversion, Docker, Kubernetes, DataDog, Apache, NGINX, IIS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, various AWS services.
