About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and enhance Vertex’s SAP Concur Travel and Expense solution
- Research, gather requirements, test, configure, and document solutions for stakeholder-identified issues
- Support opportunities involving Global Spend Transparency and Meeting & Events software
- Partner with internal subject matter experts and external technology vendors
- Participate in project teams to ensure system integrations are met and boundary-system impacts are defined
- Perform analysis, documentation, configuration, testing, integration, and reporting activities
- Participate in projects involving HCP and HCO data integrations across CRMs, MDMs, transparency reporting, accounting, and expense systems
- Provide application troubleshooting and production support; manage the support queue
- Design data-flow diagrams and process maps; maintain system documentation
- Monitor integration alerts and partner to resolve failures
- Implement product enhancements and document business processes and requirements
- Review, plan, test, and implement scheduled system upgrades and enhancements under Vertex’s Change Review Process
- Develop collaborative relationships with IT, Corporate Services, Commercial/Clinical, vendors, and operational teams to deliver business solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, another technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to quickly learn new tools through conceptual understanding of technology
- Flexibility to adapt to a continually changing, fast-paced business environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of project management practices, System Lifecycle fundamentals, and IT operational practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Power BI
- Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Atlassian Jira, or BMC Remedy
- Experience administering and integrating SAP Concur Travel and Expense preferred
- Experience with CRM systems, especially Veeva CRM, preferred
- Pharmaceutical industry experience and familiarity with HCP and HCO data preferred
