About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in day-to-day project and support work, including analysis, documentation, configuration, testing, integration, and reporting activities
Participate in projects surrounding HCP and HCO data as it integrates between CRMs, MDMs, Transparency Reporting Systems and traceability to accounting and expense systems.
Provide application troubleshooting, production support and manage the support queue
Design data flow diagrams, process mapping, and update/maintain system documentation
Monitor integration alerts and partner to resolve failures
Implement product enhancements; understand and document business processes and requirements
Participate in reviewing, planning, testing and implementing regularly scheduled system upgrades and/or enhancements as per Vertex’s Change Review Process
Develop collaborative relationships with IT peers, Corporate Services, Commercial/Clinical, external vendor partners, and various operational teams to help design, develop, and deliver solutions that satisfy business requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, another technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new tools based on conceptual understanding of technology
Flexibility to adapt to a continually changing and fast paced business environment
Effective written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate an understanding of good project management practices as well as the fundamentals of the System Lifecyle (SLC) and Information Technology operational practices
Familiar with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PowerBI)
Experience with a ticketing system (e.g. ServiceNow, Atlassian Jira, or BMC Remedy)
Experience administering and integrating SAP Concur Travel and Expense preferred
Experience with CRM Systems (Veeva CRM) preferred
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (familiarity with HCP and HCO data)
