About the role

  • You design and implement new features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript (our techstack: React, Next.js, Node.js, Directus) and define their architecture.
  • You ensure clean, maintainable code and introduce best practices into our development team.
  • You make sure our applications remain performant and stable as user numbers grow.
  • You leverage modern testing frameworks and drive code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
  • You work closely with Product and fellow engineers to build user-centric solutions.
  • You share your expertise with colleagues and strengthen the team through mentoring and technical discussions.
  • You contribute ideas to make our development and deployment processes more efficient – from CI/CD pipelines to monitoring and automation.
  • You stay up to date with the latest trends in the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem and evaluate how new tools and frameworks can be meaningfully integrated into our stack.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of professional experience in software development with JavaScript/TypeScript (frontend and backend)
  • Strong expertise in modern frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Node.js)
  • Experience with software architecture, testing (Jest, Cypress, or similar), and CI/CD
  • Structured, reliable, and independent way of working – with an eye for both details and the big picture
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with joy in knowledge sharing
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
  • Nice2Have: Experience with Directus
  • Very good German or English skills.
