About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee technical direction in collaboration with Architects
- Drive successful delivery of solutions, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate client needs into solutions
- Build test automation across the full stack and enforce engineering best practices
- Optimize application performance and reliability in a cloud environment
- Serve as the technical authority and primary point of contact for the squad
- Guide architectural discussions, code reviews, and implementation decisions
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural principles, and security best practices
- Identify and introduce new tools to improve team efficiency
- Establish and evolve the technical foundation for the Application Development squad
- Partner with Product Managers to define scope, timelines, and priorities
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
- Provide day-to-day technical mentorship and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Help onboard and support new engineers to ensure consistent growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS or BA in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience (Java/Spring Boot backend and React/Angular with TypeScript/JavaScript frontend).
- Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Proven experience leading technical projects or teams in an agile environment.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, GraphQL, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn, teach, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
