About the role

  • Lead the Bank’s strategic direction, profitability and business development.
  • Ensure the highest standards of governance, compliance and ethical conduct.
  • Engage closely with regulators, the Board, senior leadership teams and external stakeholders.
  • Full executive responsibility for the Bank’s strategy, performance, culture and regulatory compliance.
  • Shape the future of a growing bank and influence strategy at Group level.

Requirements

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within regulated banking or financial services.
  • Previous approval under the UK SMCR (SMF1, SMF3 or SMF18) or equivalent, and a recognised UK professional banking qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Isle of Man and UK financial services markets, regulatory frameworks and supervisory bodies.
  • Experience driving strategy, profitability and sustainable growth within a regulated environment.
  • A proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams and foster a strong performance-driven culture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to engage at Board and regulator level.
  • High standards of integrity, judgement and accountability, operating to the highest governance and ethical standards.
