About the role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and procedures to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency
- Oversee sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Manage RFx processes to achieve best cost and service outcomes for our customers
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, business operations, and finance to align procurement with business needs
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Negotiate terms and agreements with vendors to ensure favorable conditions
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for procurement operations
- Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure contingency planning for critical materials and services
- Coordinate materials and equipment tracking
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in procurement; preference for direct procurement experience with fiber network engineering or telecom infrastructure deployment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent vendor management and communication skills, with experience running RFPs, selecting contractors, and negotiating terms
- Strong technical/business knowledge
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization
- Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed
- Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them
- Strong technology skills including ability to learn new systems easily and leverage reporting and data analysis tools
