Develop and manage a comprehensive safety program tailored to FTTH construction and operations, including field, warehouse, and office environments.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws and standards (OSHA, DOT, local/state regulations).
Conduct regular job site audits, hazard assessments, and safety inspections.
Lead root cause analysis and incident investigations; implement corrective actions and track closure.
Oversee and deliver safety training for employees and contractors (e.g., PPE, confined space, fall protection, traffic control).
Collaborate with field supervisors, construction managers, and project leads to promote safety best practices.
Maintain and analyze safety records, reports, and metrics to track trends and support continuous improvement.
Manage safety documentation, including SDS records, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety data collection.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in telecommunications, utilities, or construction industries.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and best practices related to construction safety.
Experience conducting field audits, incident investigations, and training sessions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and lead in a cross-functional environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software/tools.
Willingness to travel to project sites across the Company’s active states on a regular basis.
