About the role
- Digital strategy & governance: You develop and implement the digital product strategy in close coordination with executive management, translate company goals into clear digital initiatives and roadmaps, and define and monitor relevant OKRs and KPIs.
- Team leadership & collaboration: You lead a high-performing, agile digital team both functionally and disciplinarily, promote a user-centered, collaborative way of working, and foster a modern, cross-team working culture.
- Product & project ownership: You are responsible for the strategic roadmap and ensure that epics, initiatives and projects are consistently executed. Together with your team you keep priorities, resources, quality standards and progress of key initiatives in view at all times. You identify risks early, initiate course corrections and ensure target outcomes are achieved.
- Technical alignment & quality assurance: Together with the Tech Lead you define ambitious standards for architecture, security, performance and technical sustainability. You ensure robust cooperation between internal and external teams and make sure technical and strategic requirements remain balanced.
- Stakeholder management & communication: You work closely with editorial, executive management, sales, marketing and external partners. You create a shared understanding of digital goals, opportunities and challenges — and communicate roadmaps, successes and learnings transparently and appropriately for each audience. You act as a bridge between business, technology and journalistic standards.
- Innovation, growth & new business models: You identify market trends, new technologies and opportunities for new audiences or business models early. Based on these insights you initiate and lead innovation projects, pilot new digital formats (e.g., AI-powered, personalized, data-driven) and drive the continuous development of the portfolio.
