About the role

  • Preparation of annual financial statements under HGB (German Commercial Code) for partnerships and corporations within the C.H.BECK media group
  • Preparation of E-Bilanzen (electronic tax balance sheets)
  • Handling balance sheet-related issues
  • Drafting work instructions
  • Participation in tax audits (Betriebsprüfungen)
  • Support with inheritance tax valuations for companies within the C.H.BECK media group

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration or completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter IHK) or tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt)
  • Relevant professional experience in an auditing/tax advisory firm or in a company
  • Strong balance sheet knowledge and good understanding of corporate taxation
  • Independent and structured working style
  • Confident user of MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Enjoyment of working in a team
