About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as technical custodian and primary oversight for Customer Experience Platform services
  • Lead delivery of high-impact projects for the CXP services team
  • Own overarching solutions and foster technical relationships with software engineering teams
  • Collaborate with managers, designers, architects, stakeholders, and vendors
  • Define and deliver Opportunities for Improvement aligned with business and technology goals
  • Establish technical standards to optimize maintainability, MTTR, performance, and release processes
  • Modernize and migrate legacy applications to Verizon Consumer North Star Architecture
  • Author high-level and low-level design documentation
  • Engineer framework modules for the CXP Platform to address cross-cutting concerns and accelerate agile delivery
  • Define an AI strategy for automating manual defect and outage triaging work
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify improvement areas, and implement scalable solutions
  • Facilitate cross-functional ideation sessions to streamline omni-channel processes and enhance customer experiences
  • Translate business objectives into accurate requirements
  • Develop system enhancements and architecture designs supporting modernization and North Star principles
  • Manage iterative requirements and delivery using Agile methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, design patterns, and RESTful service development, including JSON, authentication, and authorization
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, GraphQL, and Reactive Programming
  • Cloud and infrastructure proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Tomcat, and Netty
  • Advanced skills developing AI agents using Langgraph, ADK, and A2A
  • Experience leveraging AI code generation tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Devin, and CoPilot across the SDLC
  • Experience authoring comprehensive design documentation adhering to UML standards
  • Practical experience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Ansible, Sonar, Kibana, and Grafana
  • Familiarity with Clarity, Confluence, and G-Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive delivery in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent cross-collaboration skills
