About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a Business Market Team and oversee a broad range of contracting activities.
- Develop creative offers, negotiate contracts, perform financial modeling, administer contracts, and manage contract closure.
- Direct financial analysis and contracts across the Business Market Segment for VBG.
- Ensure contract administration aligns with strategic goals, contractual agreements, legal mandates, and regulations.
- Oversee customer agreement terms and financial modeling focused on reducing churn.
- Support negotiation of business contracts.
- Provide internal and external advice and legal interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
- Identify contract risks and potential liabilities.
- Monitor contract performance throughout the contract lifecycle and maintain compliance with terms.
- Recommend operational efficiency improvements to leadership and supporting departments.
- Develop business cases and work with internal customers to support submissions.
- Oversee and lead contracts team personnel in carrying out required activities.
- Lead and develop contract team personnel and prepare employees for next-level roles.
- Establish and maintain coordination with internal customers and supporting departments.
- Report to the Sr. Director.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
- Enterprise or Business Market contracting experience
- Experience communicating up to the VP level
- Experience maintaining confidentiality
- Project management experience, including problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to function independently, multitask, and realign priorities as needed
- Experience using visualization tools to present financial information
- Experience with Excel, financial modeling, cash flow evaluation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, ROI analysis, and NPV analysis
- MBA strongly preferred
- Experience leading a team of professionals preferred
- Persuasive communication skills and ability to clearly and confidently articulate a position
- Strong organizational skills
