About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design power, space, and cooling systems for IEN hubs
- Order equipment according to design specifications, track orders, and manage suppliers
- Specify equipment for IEN hub projects according to maintenance engineering standards
- Create statements of work, bid projects, and follow purchasing guidelines
- Meet regional hub engineering, plan-of-record, and financial targets
- Determine equipment needs and order and integrate power systems, alarming, and fiber optic cable
- Collaborate with Transport Engineering, RF Design, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, and System Performance teams
- Oversee projects in FUZE
- Manage project creation, cancellations, and on-hold status changes in project tools
- Align FUZE data fields to ensure departmental task readiness in FUZE and ST
- Coordinate and support real estate and construction teams with power company engagement and requirements
- Apply project management skills to new-build and 5G programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Knowledge of cell site and small cell design for wireless cellular systems
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to operate a company vehicle throughout assigned territories
- Experience in designing and implementing wireless communications systems preferred
- Experience managing large projects preferred
- Ability to work at least three days per week in the office
