About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical expertise for network transformation, network outages, service issues, network optimization, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot, perform configuration changes, and drive network issues to resolution in a 24x7 operations environment
  • Optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems and applications to identify system availability and performance
  • Evaluate network coverage, identify gaps, recommend improvements, and help implement recommendations
  • Travel to various site locations in Western North Carolina and Tennessee
  • Perform triage, fault isolation, and remediation of network events
  • Generate, drive, and update problem-tracking tickets through multiple systems
  • Continuously improve business practices
  • Escalate issues to appropriate internal and external engineering teams for resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
  • Experience with AI tools such as Gemini and Claude Code in a technical or professional setting
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle to sites in North Carolina and Tennessee
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Technical degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies, including telephony switching, data communications, and network routers (preferred)
  • Active DOT or CDL (preferred)
  • Computer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations (preferred)
  • Vendor management experience (preferred)
  • Ericsson wireless-based equipment knowledge (preferred)
  • Data-centric AI methodology to improve daily operations (preferred)
