About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, evaluate, and develop partnership strategies across third-party Perks, Loyalty, and emerging verticals
  • Build senior leader-facing presentations, deal models, business cases, and prospective deal frameworks
  • Align internal stakeholders around shared visions for external partners
  • Execute partnership operational requirements, including performance reporting and tracking cross-functional deliverables
  • Manage quarterly business reviews and troubleshoot issues with product teams
  • Collaborate with Product, Value Proposition, Integrated Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sponsorships
  • Develop consultant-grade slide decks and executive summaries covering market dynamics, strategic rationale, and commercial terms
  • Identify ways to expand and grow existing partnerships with other Verizon business units
  • Champion GRO/DTC Team objectives in broader company-wide strategic partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, or partner management within media, technology, or telecommunications
  • Interest in partner-facing work supporting complex digital distribution, marketing, or licensing relationships
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Experience in strategic planning and change management
  • Expertise optimizing content partnerships and managing relationship portfolios, preferably in DTC, entertainment, or technology
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing content strategies
  • Knowledge of market/customer-centric vision
  • Knowledge of the media/technology ecosystem
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in highly complex and matrixed organizations
  • Experience developing and presenting slide decks to senior executives
  • High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Direct experience supporting deal or contract negotiations for digital services, subscriptions, or loyalty platform integrations preferred
  • Experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or corporate business development within a major media/technology platform preferred
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or related master’s degree preferred
  • Passion for consumer technology, media trends, streaming, consumer AI applications, and digital marketplaces
  • Existing network across media, digital technology, and subscription platform business development leaders preferred
