About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a business partner providing strategic guidance and insights during analysis
Own development and communication of plans and forecasts, financial reporting, operational analysis, and executive reviews
Analyze Actuals, Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View
Serve as a subject matter expert on complex business performance issues and execute action plans
Evaluate monthly business trends, budget variances, financial results, and key performance indicators
Develop costing and profitability models and reports
Assess strategic financial decisions and present recommendations to leadership
Improve financial planning and analysis processes and methods
Assess customer and product profitability and drive profit optimization
Develop and evaluate pricing and investment business cases
Assess capital requirements, develop capital plans, and recommend capital allocation
Present and communicate findings to all levels of the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training
Project management experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in technology and/or telecommunications industry preferred
Professional certification such as CPA or CMA preferred
Strong analytical capability and ability to structure business cases around strategic visions
Strong strategic skills and ability to identify key points, implications, and recommendations
Advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting, analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies
In-depth understanding of business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis
Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, GAAP, tax reporting and accounting practices, and International Financial Reporting
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management
Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance
Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal direct supervision
Master’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
