About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead digital, programmatic, and paid social media strategy, execution, and optimization across all inventory types
- Structure, build, and lead a team of strategists executing programmatic and paid social activations
- Partner with agency teams to enable digital activations through effective delivery paths
- Educate internal leadership on emerging technologies and the evolution of programmatic and paid social buying
- Influence stakeholders across media implementation, technology, and operations
- Own, develop, and execute innovative programmatic and paid social strategies
- Oversee campaign planning and activation, ensuring digital strategy meets standards and KPIs
- Partner with media partners on product roadmaps and expanded marketplace capabilities
- Collaborate with media leaders, agencies, and Verizon partner units to execute strategy and improve digital experiences
- Inform internal teams about marketplace developments, technology, creative, and audience approaches
- Analyze data, optimize campaigns, and ensure campaign goals are met
- Manage agency relationships, resources, budgets, and financial records
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
- Six or more years of relevant experience required
- Work and/or military experience, or specialized training may demonstrate the required experience
- Marketer, agency, or consultative services experience in programmatic media strategy and investment
- Experience with analysis and reporting
- Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders
- Experience managing a high-performing team
- Fluency in data-driven targeting and reach strategy
- Knowledge of advertising channels including TV, audio, OOH, display, digital video, and social media
- Ability to manage self-serve programmatic and social channels and launch new channels
- Experience with Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Facebook/Instagram, Snap, Twitter, and Pinterest buying platforms and formats
- Experience with LiveRamp, Adobe AAM, Epsilon, or Acxiom
- Experience with Google Campaign Manager or Innovid
- Knowledge of IAS, DoubleVerify, or Moat ad-verification and brand-safety tools
- Experience managing programmatic budgets of at least fifty million dollars
- Programmatic leadership experience within agency trading desks, management consultancies, or brands with in-house programmatic capabilities
- Experience recommending technology adoption based on the programmatic technology landscape
- Experience managing agency relationships and resources
- Experience building and executing programmatic buying strategy
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records
- Ability to analyze data, optimize campaigns, and ensure campaign goals are met
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
