About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive Data Engineering and Solutions for Verizon’s Corporate Data Ecosystem
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to identify high-impact Data & AI use cases
  • Define Data & AI roadmaps and transformation strategies
  • Liaise with Supply Chain, Finance, and HR stakeholders on Business Intelligence rationalization
  • Define and implement new data layers, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold, and manage consumer onboarding
  • Lead data architecture and high-level solution design for Supply Chain, Finance, and HR domains
  • Define data standards, functional designs, and technical/solution architecture
  • Own the Common Information Model for Supply Chain, Finance, and HR
  • Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, data pipelines, and operational processes
  • Synthesize and visualize data for reporting, analytics, data quality, and continuous improvement
  • Execute agile delivery, including roadmap and backlog management for data pipeline components
  • Deliver process transformations and system implementations across the SDLC
  • Cover data modeling, UX/UI design, and deployment strategies
  • Ensure SOX Controls are reviewed and provided within required timelines for data readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work, military experience, or specialized training
  • Five years of progressive, hands-on experience with Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and high-level solution design for large-scale applications
  • Experience delivering scaled agile methodologies and large-scale data transformation initiatives
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and architectural concepts to all levels of management
  • SME-level domain knowledge of Supply Chain functions, including Logistics, Warehouse Management, Inventory, Finance, and HR
  • Experience shaping a structured, tiered data architecture such as Medallion architecture
  • Ability to set rigorous technical and architectural standards
  • Experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives and building a culture of curiosity and collaboration
  • Strong commitment to creating value for stakeholders, employees, and customers
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach to business processes and user needs
  • Ability to work effectively with shifting priorities and work alignment
