About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the performance of a segment of Verizon’s third-party logistics network
  • Drive accountability with 3PL site leadership across multiple large distribution centers
  • Align internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, world-class execution
  • Lead Monthly Performance Scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Oversee 3PL contractual performance, logistics costs, SLA penalties, and incentives
  • Liaise with Inventory Planning, Sales, and Product Marketing stakeholders
  • Initiate, sponsor, and track large-scale continuous improvement projects
  • Optimize customer experience, capacity utilization, and network expense
  • Manage the reverse logistics pipeline to maximize recovery value from returned equipment and devices
  • Design and implement long-term corrective actions with 3PL partners
  • Oversee efficient utilization of space and material

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
  • Proven experience managing performance, contracts, or relationships with Third-Party Logistics Providers (3PLs) or major suppliers
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing complex distribution contracts and enforcing SLAs
  • Experience in large-scale operations, distribution, or manufacturing, preferably in facilities larger than 300,000 square feet
  • Exposure to Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Root Cause Analysis
  • PMP certification is an additional qualification
  • Proficiency in SAP and comprehensive understanding of WMS capabilities
  • Master’s degree in Business (MBA), Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline is an additional qualification
  • Black/Green Belt certification is an additional qualification
