About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with clients and the Sales team on digital transformation initiatives
- Build long-term business relationships within assigned enterprise accounts
- Identify and qualify opportunities and design solutions addressing customer business challenges
- Build consultative technical relationships and serve as a trusted adviser
- Match customer objectives and technical requirements to Verizon solutions
- Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop strategies to resolve technical matters
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
- Own the technical relationship with Verizon customers
- Manage product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordination of technical resources
- Create customer solutions and use cases leveraging Verizon product integrations
- Articulate Verizon Enterprise’s technology and solutions vision and position Verizon as a technology thought leader
- Prioritize customer solution and technical requirements and champion resolution of solution and product gaps internally
- Develop skills and product knowledge to maximize value and deliver quality services
- Drive bookings, revenue, activations, and customer relationships across the WLN and WLS portfolio
- Develop business-outcome-focused solutions and initiatives leveraging Verizon capabilities
- Work with GID and SDE organizations to pursue larger deals and RFPs
- Participate critically in sales stages 0–3 and support later stages
- Build the solutions funnel through early sales-cycle investment, emphasizing use cases and business impact
- Travel to client sites, conferences, and related events as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Four or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
- Four or more years of experience in the tech industry, pre-sales, customer-facing, consulting, or other relevant technical experience
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems
- Experience architecting and developing LAN/WAN or large infrastructure and network solutions for enterprise customers
- Experience with software-defined networking, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls
- Knowledge of data and information security, especially as it relates to business issues
- Experience in two or more of: SDN, IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver’s license
- Primary domain strength in WLN or WLS, with willingness to ramp up in the less dominant area
- At least WLN and WLS technology experience
- MA/MS degree in engineering or computer science is an additional qualification
- Ability to learn and work with emerging cloud/IT technologies, methodologies, and solutions
- Experience running multiple projects or deals under tight timelines
- Security, architecture, or industry certifications such as AWS Solution Architect, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, ITIL Foundations, or similar
- Experience implementing or designing two or more of: Data and IP Services Managed Operations, Security Services, Call Center Technologies, or IT Applications Management
