Key responsibilities & impact

manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to oversee OSP/ISP construction and maintenance of network extension projects
ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications, and within budget
manage all engineering and construction activities of assigned projects associated with expanding and maintaining the OSP network infrastructure
lead engineering efforts on multiple projects, driving productivity through use of vendor resources to meet deliverables
engage appropriate internal and external organizations and individuals with good written/verbal communications to accomplish required tasks with focus on quality and speed to market
coordinate project activities with contractors, developers, municipalities and consultants
propose solutions supported by sound engineering and operational productivity to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
analyze implications of changes from the original schedule and take required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track
recognize vulnerabilities in network infrastructure and make intelligent decisions to ensure reliability within financial constraints
prepare detailed cost analysis, project specifications, spend forecasts, route mapping, requisitions, and business justifications
process reports, vendor invoices, material receipts, and other administrative duties
perform field meetings, inspection of construction in progress, and quality control of final product to ensure company requirements are met
communicate project status and progress to team members and customers
respond immediately to network outages, coordinating necessary resources and activities for prompt and appropriate restoral

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience
Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
Valid Driver's license
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields (even better)
Experience in CAD, 3GIS, ARCGIS, Google Earth or other mapping and drafting software (even better)
Experience in using Google Workspace suite, including tools such as Drive, Gmail, Meet, Docs, Sheets, and Slides (even better)
Experience in corporate data and reporting platforms (Tableau, Cheetah, or others) (even better)
