About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leading the sourcing process for an IT Category within the IT Sourcing Department.
Guiding internal business stakeholders through the acquisition process.
Identifying potential suppliers, reviewing & drafting requirements and agreements.
Analyzing qualifications, negotiating deals, identifying savings opportunities and monitoring supplier performance.
Planning and proposing sourcing strategies that best support business needs.
Creating, updating, and presenting the Category Strategy.
Performing market analyses to find potential new suppliers, while maintaining and developing existing partnerships.
Negotiating commercial terms for agreements and renewals.
Handling the sourcing process and leading cross-functional teams to document requirements and reach consensus.
Working closely with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, Tax, and other policy subject matter experts.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or relevant Strategic Sourcing experience.
Category Sourcing Management, Supplier Management and/or Purchasing experience.
To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland.
IT or Technology Strategic Sourcing experience (even better).
Negotiation, cost management and analytical skills (even better).
Knowledge of the commercial legal language, terminologies related to contracting (even better).
Project & Stakeholder Management in a complex multi-project and multi-geography environment (even better).
Ability to work independently, as directed, with limited supervision (even better).
Experience in driving cross-functional teams to achieve common goals in complex deals (even better).
Competence in AI tools to increase efficiency, accuracy and speed to the required work processes (even better).
Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP and/or Lean Six Sigma (even better).
Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications (even better).
