About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the execution of sourcing strategies
Negotiate commercial terms for new agreements and renewals (Master Licence agreements, Cloud agreements, SOWs, Order Forms etc.)
Guide internal business partners through the supplier selection process
Work cross-functionally to document requirements, build RFPs, conduct negotiations for renewal or new agreement and identify savings opportunities
Handle the sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with our policies
Collaborate with various cross functional teams to develop Verizon's requirements and reach consensus on commercial approach
Work closely with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, Tax, Risk Management and other policy subject matter experts
Perform analyses of financial and business data related to sourcing operations
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, core competencies using industry cost models
Manage and lead cross-functional teams, run strategic sourcing processes and contract negotiations
Execute supplier relationship management activities for key assigned suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
Project & Stakeholder Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment
Category Sourcing Management, Supplier Management and/or Purchasing experience
Ability to work independently, as directed, with limited supervision
Ability to lead meetings/conference calls
Strategic Sourcing experience (even better if you have)
Negotiation, cost management and analytical skills (even better if you have)
Knowledge of the commercial legal language, terminologies related to contracting (even better if you have)
Experience in IT/Technology categories (even better if you have)
Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP and/or Lean Six Sigma (even better if you have)
Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications (even better if you have)
