About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct and mentor a team of 9 FTEs, including the Head of Ad Product & Partnerships, Head of Media Sales, Director of Ad Operations & Yield, and their respective teams
  • Own the overarching business strategy for Verizon’s ad products, including premium lock-screen inventory, digital OOH, and owned properties
  • Oversee the development of the GTM strategy and support the Head of Media Sales in securing foundational alpha/beta advertisers with major advertising holding companies and tier-1 brands
  • Guide the Product and Engineering teams in managing critical third-party vendor relationships and building privacy-first ad solutions
  • Ensure the team effectively manages yield, pricing strategies, and inventory flow to maximize revenue without cannibalizing premium core placements
  • Act as the primary liaison between the advertising division and broader Verizon leadership, collaborating heavily with Data Strategy, Legal/Privacy (CPNI), and core telecommunications business units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Master's Degree highly preferred
  • Minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in ad-tech, media sales, digital advertising, or retail media networks
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional leaders and building high-performing teams from the ground up (zero-to-one experience)
  • Deep understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, programmatic architecture, data clean rooms, and digital yield management
  • Strong executive presence with a track record of driving multi-million dollar revenue growth and managing enterprise-level vendor relationships
  • Ability to navigate and lead within a complex, highly matrixed corporate environment
