About the role
- Define, maintain and evolve the foundational architecture of AI agents, ensuring technical consistency, scalability and alignment with business requirements.
- Work hands-on, leading by example and ensuring solutions operate in a logical, efficient and sustainable manner.
- Design the technical architecture of agents, including orchestration flows, memory, integrations and decision layers.
- Ensure the logical correctness of agents from conception through production execution.
- Apply agent architectures based on MCP (Model Context Protocol) and/or A2A, ensuring modularity and standardization.
- Implement, evolve and refactor AI technical components on an ongoing basis.
- Develop solutions in Python, working directly on agent code.
- Build and maintain flows using LangChain and LangGraph for orchestration and state control.
- Implement and manage vector databases for semantic search, memory and context retrieval.
- Work on integrations, testing, technical validations and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with the SAP technical team to enable AI agents.
- Understand the flows, data and constraints of the SAP ecosystem.
- Design agent solutions aligned with SAP processes, ensuring technical feasibility and fit to the client's context.
- Act as the technical bridge between AI and SAP, ensuring consistent and sustainable integration.
- Define technical standards, best practices and guidelines for AI agent development.
- Ensure quality, security, performance and observability of the solutions.
- Ensure the architecture is scalable, reusable and prepared for evolution.
Requirements
- Previous experience in technical leadership.
- Proficiency in Python for development and maintenance of AI agents.
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph for agent orchestration, state control and decision flows.
- Familiarity with agent architectures based on MCP (Model Context Protocol) and/or A2A (Agent-to-Agent).
- Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Chroma or similar) for semantic search, memory and RAG.
- Integration experience via APIs (REST, webhooks, authentication) and inter-system communication.
- Experience integrating with SAP, including understanding of flows, data and ecosystem constraints.
- Code versioning with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Observability and quality practices: logging, monitoring, metrics and production troubleshooting.
