About the role

  • Tests applications and evaluates the stability and reliability of enhancements and changes made by engineering/infrastructure/DevOps teams
  • Certifies the quality of deliverables
  • Attends product planning and Scrum meetings
  • Learns the functionality of applications
  • Analyzes the changes being made to applications
  • Estimates the amount of effort that would be required to complete the work
  • Creates positive and negative test cases to exercise application changes
  • Socializes the change with the QA team
  • Creates destructive test cases
  • Executes test cases and accurately reports on results
  • Participates in peer reviews of test cases
  • Liaises with developers and ensures defects identified are resolved
  • Updates status sheets etc. after the completion of tasks

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, particularly in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • +2 years of QA testing experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Computer literate: ability to use G-Suite and MS Office productivity applications proficiently
  • Demonstrates professionalism, honesty, discretion, and integrity
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and personal responsibility
  • Ability to work collaboratively, internally, and externally
  • Ability to relate well to a variety of individuals and a track record of being a team player
  • Provides excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates high energy level, strong work ethic, and proactive problem-solving skills
