Occupational Safety Technician II
Verisure. Act in the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases by identifying, assessing and controlling risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and other occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act in the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases by identifying, assessing and controlling risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and other occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation.
- Perform technical activities of medium to high complexity (when applicable), support the implementation of health and safety programs, conduct trainings, inspections and accident/incident investigations, and advise managers and employees on adopting safe practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and promote a safe, healthy and legally compliant work environment.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify occupational hazards, proposing corrective and preventive measures.
- Prepare, update and monitor OHS programs and documents (PGR, LTCAT, APR, PT, inspection reports, Fire Safety documentation, among others).
- Monitor OHS indicators and support continuous improvement actions through the development and management of Action Plans.
- Investigate medium-complexity accidents and incidents, recommending preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
- Deliver trainings and guide employees on safe occupational health and safety practices.
- Support internal and external audits related to occupational health and safety.
- Control and monitor the use of PPE and collective protection equipment (EPCs), ensuring their compliance and availability.
- Participate in change analyses, technical inspections and internal committees.
- Manage CIPA through participation in meetings and campaigns focused on the work practices of CIPA members.
- Contribute to strengthening the safety culture and raising awareness among operational teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Vocational/technical qualification in Occupational Safety (Técnico de Segurança do Trabalho);
- Previous experience in the area;
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Valid Category B driver’s license (CNH B);
- Availability for occasional travel;
- Desired: knowledge of the SOC system or LG FAP.
