About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and build development Continuous Integration pipelines of moderate complexity
Set up build plans, assist developers with failures, and manage software configurations
Ensure end-to-end deployments succeed and AWS resources are provisioned automatically
Provide input on cloud environment setup and implementation plans
Support developers with server troubleshooting and application errors caused by environmental issues
Debug production outages and take actions resulting from root cause analysis
Monitor the production environment and maintain system stability and availability
Implement production migrations during off-hours and provide off-hours support for mission-critical applications
Support development-tool setup, including Git repositories and monitoring-tool configuration
Collaborate with Agile Development Teams to ensure adherence to CI/CD guidelines and DevOps processes
Recommend and implement automation to improve system performance and reliability, including scripting, integration, problem resolution, and configuration management
Proactively identify and minimize pain points
Keep up to date with the latest technologies and introduce them as needed
Create next-generation solutions for unique and challenging use cases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required
4+ years of proven experience with Linux Administration, Windows Administration, and IIS Management
Deep understanding of IIS concepts and settings
3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, and CloudFormation
Moderate experience with Bash, Chef, PowerShell, Python, XML, REST APIs, SPAs, HTTP GET, and HTTP POST
Skill with XML configuration files, REST API calls, HTTP headers, and response codes
Proven experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment technologies including Atlassian Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, MSBuild, NUnit, Git, Maven, and Docker
Passion for technology and focus on automation
Good written and verbal communication skills
AWS certification preferably
