About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns including book-to-tax adjustments (M-1) and state apportionment calculations
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end income tax provision calculations
  • Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Support federal and state audits by gathering documentation and communicating with tax authorities
  • Participate in special projects, including tax planning initiatives and due diligence efforts
  • Manage and respond to tax notices, interacting with state representatives as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the tax function

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years full-time tax experience required; public accounting experience preferred
  • General understanding of federal and state compliance concepts
  • Working knowledge of tax and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with CorpTax, Alteryx, and/or OneSource Tax Provision software preferred
