About the role
- Participate in risk analyses using Verisk's technology for insurers, brokers, reinsurers and financial intermediaries
- Conduct immersive research, analyze data, and support consulting projects for clients
- Build professional relationships with coworkers and clients and offer cross-business-unit support
- Problem-solve and work independently on projects while maintaining a growth mindset
- Use and learn tools such as Touchstone and Touchstone Re
- Analyze data using Microsoft SQL
- Collaborate with actuarial recruitment committee and participate in interview/recruitment process activities
- Work full-time (40 hours/week) as part of a hybrid 10-week summer internship program
Requirements
- Enrolled in bachelors or masters program
- Analytical mindset and passion for business
- Strong communication skills; responsible and highly motivated to take initiative
- Ability to learn, problem-solve and work independently on projects
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn
- History of tackling projects with a quantitative lens
- Interest or past experience in insurance helpful but not required
- Technical skill requirements vary by position; include Microsoft Excel at a minimum
- Proficiency with Touchstone and Touchstone Re (mentioned in responsibilities)
- Experience analyzing data within Microsoft SQL (mentioned in responsibilities)
