About the role
- Support a broad range of HR operations and corporate activities including recruiting, learning, employee onboarding, immigration, employee records management, payroll back-up support and other staffing related transactions
- Function as first point of contact for general HR queries and provide administrative support on a variety of HR related services and activities
- Maintain HR databases and other employee digital and paper records while ensuring data integrity, privacy, and consistency
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions and manage onboarding / offboarding processes
- Provide administrative support for talent acquisition, immigration & compliance and learning & development
- Administer recognition programs; prepare and process confidential correspondence, documents, and general reports
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives
- 16-month temporary contract supporting Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division based in Calgary, AB
Requirements
- Minimum 4 - 6 years of HR administration and/or combined general administration experience
- Proficient in HR software such as HRIS or HRMS
- Experience in ADP Workforce Now
- Intermediate to advance working knowledge of Excel
- Some related post-secondary education
- Outstanding customer service focus
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions, while prioritizing workload effectively
- Positive outlook with a willingness to work out of scope
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with applicant tracking and time management system
