About the role

  • Support a broad range of HR operations and corporate activities including recruiting, learning, employee onboarding, immigration, employee records management, payroll back-up support and other staffing related transactions
  • Function as first point of contact for general HR queries and provide administrative support on a variety of HR related services and activities
  • Maintain HR databases and other employee digital and paper records while ensuring data integrity, privacy, and consistency
  • Conduct new employee orientation sessions and manage onboarding / offboarding processes
  • Provide administrative support for talent acquisition, immigration & compliance and learning & development
  • Administer recognition programs; prepare and process confidential correspondence, documents, and general reports
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives
  • 16-month temporary contract supporting Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division based in Calgary, AB

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 - 6 years of HR administration and/or combined general administration experience
  • Proficient in HR software such as HRIS or HRMS
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now
  • Intermediate to advance working knowledge of Excel
  • Some related post-secondary education
  • Outstanding customer service focus
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions, while prioritizing workload effectively
  • Positive outlook with a willingness to work out of scope
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with applicant tracking and time management system
