About the role

  • Analyzes, models, writes/modifies, and supports software source code
  • Provides primary legacy platform support (COBOL on HP3000)
  • Delivers personal tasks on time and supports initiatives
  • Estimates component/application level work efforts
  • Creates Application and System Design Documents
  • Provides on-call support as required
  • Functions with minimal supervision under deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years with Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years work experience
  • Strong COBOL programming expertise on HP3000
  • Experience with HP3000 IMAGE databases
  • Proficiency with Robelle tools (SuperTool, Qedit, MPEX)
  • Solid JCL knowledge for batch processing
  • Experience using ad hoc query tools for data analysis and validation
  • Working knowledge of POSIX/Apache in HP3000 or hybrid environments
  • Proven support of print production workflows
