About the role
- The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager, Site Superintendent with day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface field-based activities, and other duties required to execute projects, construction management, and project management ventures.
- Assists the Project Manager with the pre-construction process, project budgets, reviewing required work with subcontractors, and preplanning operational activities.
- Assists the Project Manager by reviewing scopes of work.
- Assists the Project Manager in building and maintaining strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Project Team, and Subcontractors.
- Communicates regularly with all involved parties regarding project plans, status of the project, upcoming activities, and open issues.
- Assists the Project Manager with setting up initial budgets by tabulating each required scope of work and inputting into required project management and accounting systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) + years construction experience required.
- Ability to adhere to quality standards within company requirements & industry codes and standards to include but not limited to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, NACE, IBC & NEC.
- Knowledge of Energy Services Construction.
- Knowledge and familiarity with architectural drawings.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
- Ability to communicate safety plans as needed.
- Ability to resolve any safety related conflicts with the customer and inside Veregy.
- Ability to communicate safety related issues to Veregy Management.
- Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priorities with end users.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
- Valid Drivers License.
