About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on real projects that impact Vercel’s products and customers.
  • Own an end-to-end project: scope it with your manager, build it, ship it, and see it in customers' hands.
  • Write and review production code alongside the engineers who maintain it.
  • Debug real systems under real conditions, trace issues through the stack, and fix root causes.
  • Communicate progress clearly, including when blocked.
  • Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and opportunities to grow and learn.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, graduating December 2027 or May 2028.
  • Strong knowledge and capability with JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Experience with Go or Rust is a bonus.
  • You dig into problems rather than around them - you want to know why something broke.
  • You move work forward on your own. You surface blockers early instead of waiting to be asked.
  • You communicate well in writing. Much of how we work is asynchronous and written down.
  • Fluent with AI tooling and clear-eyed about it. You use it to move faster, and you can still explain, defend, and debug everything you ship.
  • Based in San Francisco, willing and able to commute Mon/Tues/Fri.

Benefits

Comp & perks
  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
